Sean Layman was born and raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma where he was a part of the Broken Arrow Church of Christ family. He met his wife Alyssa at a vacation bible school when they were 17, and they have been together ever since. Sean has been happily married to Alyssa since May 2012. Sean graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a degree in Youth and Family Ministry. He spent three years working as a Resident Director for OC where he looked after freshmen boys and later junior and senior boys. Sean enjoys spending time with friends, playing sports and games, and taking care of his wife. Alyssa was an English writing major at OC when she became extremely sick with Chronic Lyme Disease, which forced her to drop out of school a few classes away from graduating. Alyssa has a service dog named Charlie who helps her function in spite of her illness. Charlie loves to make new friends and play at the dog park. Both Sean and Alyssa are passionate about training the youth to be confident leaders in the Church with strong relationships with Christ. They believe God is guiding and teaching them through the tough times with Alyssa’s illness and know there is no better place to face hardship than with God and their Crosstown church family by their side.
