Robert Prater

Robert Prater was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has been married to his wife Maggie (Rampey) since 1997  who teaches for Jenks Public Schools. They are proud parents of three children, Megan (18), Mackenzie (16) and Camden (13). Robert attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah before transferring to Harding University and graduated in 2000 with an undergraduate degree in Bible and Ministry. Robert is currently working towards a master’s degree from Oklahoma Christian University. He is certified in the use of PREPARE/ENRICH, a resource used in pre-marital and marital counseling.

Robert served four and half years as the pulpit minister for the Cleveland, Oklahoma congregation. He then served nearly nine years as the pulpit minister for the Central Church of Christ in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Since April 2013, he has served as the preaching minister for Crosstown.

As a minister, Robert has conducted gospel meetings and spoken at various lectureships. He served for nine years as a camp director at Burnt Cabin Christian Camp. In addition, he has been on numerous mission trips both stateside and foreign including several trips to the Ukraine in recent years.

One of his favorite quotes comes from restoration leader Barton W. Stone: “Let every Christian begin the work of union in himself.”
